Back at my desk this morning after a wonderful 10 days away, and it feels especially fitting that it’s #WorldFriendshipDay! I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible team around me at Create Momentum who made those precious, undisturbed, and worry-free moments with my family possible.
I’m incredibly lucky to have amazing friends in my life – relationships built on trust and consistency. And it’s those very same values that underpin the professional connections I share with my colleagues. With @Chrissy Bounds and @Anna Lintowicz, I’ve established a dynamic where I have full confidence in leaving the running of the business in their capable hands.
They truly picked up the mantle the moment I boarded that plane 10 days ago, ensuring not only Create Momentum, but also our clients’ businesses, ran seamlessly while I was out of the country. Of course, like most business owners, they knew I was just a WhatsApp, text, or call away for anything urgent. But for the most part, I was able to fully immerse myself in quality family time, making those invaluable memories and simply being present with my husband and children – something that’s been challenging with everyone’s incredibly busy schedules over the past year.
It’s funny, I successfully navigate complex diaries for my clients, managing multiple locations, people, and tasks. Yet, getting my two teenage boys in the same place at the same time feels ridiculously difficult! But somehow, once a year, we manage to get away, have the best time together with no major fallouts, and all return to Windsor in one piece.
So, a heartfelt thank you to my team for truly enabling me to create those moments with my family.
