I’ve just been watching some of the incredible rehearsal clips circulating on social media for the upcoming production of Les Misérables, which opens on Wednesday 8th July at The Farrer Theatre in Eton. Seeing the cast in action, including my own son who is preparing to step into the role of Marius, has made me incredibly proud and excited for what is to come.
Even through a screen, the energy in that rehearsal room is palpable, and it is a testament to the phenomenal drive of James Manwaring MBE. As Director of Music, James, and his team, have an infectious enthusiasm that completely transforms how young people across Windsor engage with music, pushing them to perform at their absolute peak, whilst they enjoy every minute!
…a production of this scale requires a massive infrastructure of support.
I am super proud to be part of the Friends of Windsor Music, who are a dedicated group of parents and friends working away in the background, and alongside James, assisting with raising funds, sponsorship and running the bars / raffles so that he and the professionals can continue with the directing of an exceptional show.
Seeing the sheer amount of work that goes into the background during these weeks always reminds me exactly why I founded Create Momentum.
In the corporate world, a high-performing C-suite executive or visionary leader cannot thrive in a vacuum. To excel on the main stage, you need a determined, trusted “wrap-around” team handling the operational noise and managing the background frameworks. Whether it’s a theatre production or a fast-scaling business, peak performance requires a seamless supporting cast behind the scenes.
I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the journey in seeing how music is helping to empower these brilliant young performers!
Take a look at the sneak preview video below to see what they’ve been working on!
The show opens on Wednesday, 8th July. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to secure yours here: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing/114949
